Our journey from Montevideo to Mendoza

Well our boat trip back to Argentina was slightly different as we took a bus to Colonia and then a boat from there - it took a lot longer but we had to get a flight to Mendoza and this was the only way to get there in time, and the boat had windows!! But was delayed so we only just got to the airport in time. We had a bit of a hair raising landing....when we were about 20 meters from the ground the pilot changed his mind and went back up again - I thought it was curtains but 2nd time around was a success!
Mendoza is up by the Andes and is the wine growing region (so kiss goodbye to my liver for a couple of days). We have got this amazing flat on the high street on the 7th floor. It has 2 bedrooms, an office (see photo of me doing my blog the view out of the window is the laundry room!), a dining room, a living room, 2 toilets (one with window - hurray - no more knocking ourself out with nasty niffs!) a kitchen and a laundry room - it's huge for $60 per night

A view from the laundry room

Me hard at work in the office
