We arrived late at night and were greeted at the airport and presented with the traditional garland of flowers for around our necks. I was so excited! We arrived at our hotel to be greeted by many noisy youths having a lovely time away from the parents. Our room was dark and very damp and looked liked something from the seventies - I was heartbroken and it was costing us £500 to stay here in this horrible youth hostel!!!
I got up early the next morning and logged on in the reception (the only place where there was wifi) and found a suitable alternative not far away. By 10am we were in a beautiful hotel with our own rooms and a pool. We had to pay the other place £170 compensation for cancelling and this hotel is $100 per night each but trust me it's worth it.
The town is only small and a bit delapitated but the people are lovely and we have already booked lots of stuff to fill our time here.
BTW if you think I'm being a bit stingey with the photos - it's taking an age to upload them so I am being very selective!
It must be Xmas! |

At the end of the day we went for a meal - a healthy meal with fish & veg (ignore the chips, wine and beer!) - and watched the sunset

Boo...shame about the 70's damp hovel. But hoorah for the fab expensive hotel and pool! AND the fish, veg, wine AND beer!
You both look horribly relaxed. Like you are having fun!! xx
Phew you found an alternative. Good work on that great find. Looks amazing. A visit of a life time. X
